  • Pitorro anejo 750ml & 375ml

Never attempted before Tio decided he wanted to age Pitorro in wood cast barrels. Our 80 proof Anejo is cured by resting our Pitorro in American made used and new barrels for less than two years. Agitated naturally from the vibration of the long cargo & Amtrak trains that come across the Hell's Gate Bridge. During the curing process we extract samples from multiple barrels blending them until we find our taste, hoping to attract Aged Whisky, Rum & Tequila drinkers alike.

On a trip to convince Tio on joining us in this venture we brought along a hydrometer. Our uncle had never used a measuring instrument before, measuring every batch by eye & taste, pouring the spirits on the floor, lighting it, watching it's color and how long it burned.

When we arrived there were a few gallons from different batches ready.  Measuring every jar with the hydrometer we couldn't believe the majority measured at 92 proof, give or take a proof from the other. We instantly decided that 92 was our goal.

Our 92 proof Pitorro originates from The Lush Mountains of Guayama, Puerto Rico. “Pitorro” is puertorriqueños version of “Moonshine”. Our Master Distiller Tio has created this process making changes throughout the years perfecting it to his liking. With his ingredients and preparation he has created a clean version of Pitorro. What makes our Pitorro distinct is our preference to prolong the fermentation process & turn the mash into a beer/wine consistency giving it 14 to 21 days to cure. This process helps with preventing the hangover factor and gives our Pitorro a glassy look similar to perlas (pearls). The history behind Pitorro & its perlas for most Pitorreros (Moonshiners) on the island is that without the perlas the Pitorro is not of good quality.
